Et in Terra

‘Is it not all art about putting into image, that is highlighting, exactly what in the Earth is hidden? Is art the event in which background appears to shake us, to agitate us, to make us act and think?’

Embracing the Moment

25/11/2017 - 24/02/2018

The Exhibition opens in coincidence with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, posing a question about the nature of loving relationship. Three artists in dialogue, with the languages of video, photography, drawing, collage and installations, explore this open and eternal inquiry, which reopens to infinity like a play of mirrors. The hectic movement of emotion finds a moment of peace, breathing in wider horizons to embrace the inner silence.

Greffes

06/04/2018 - 28/04/2018

The collaboration among artists is an experience with often surprising results comparable to those produced in nature by an implant, an emblematic meeting point between science and experimentation, a fact and an imponderability. Greffes (Grafts) is the spokesman of this phenomenon, always alive even if little known.

VENICE WORKS

08/09/2019 - 25/01/2019

Beatrice Burati Anderson Art Space & Gallery in Venice presents VENICE WORKS, a double personal exhibition, focused on a selection of new artworks produced by the painter Andrew Huston and the sculptor Tristano di Robilant, born from the relationship between the artists and the city. Andrew Huston presents, indeed, a series of paintings inspired by the tidal movements in the city, the heavenly forces of the Moon and the Sun on the water of the lagoon, which he analyzes in the two-dimensional form. The fascinating history of Venice in the collective imaginary is not as prominent for the artist as the universal traces the water left on the matter of the city. Pottery, glass and new bronze sculptures presented by Tristano di Robilant are also born from the deep relationship between the city and the artist, who constantly has been working for years with the glass masters of the island of Murano. The dialogue with Venice is revealed to the sculptor precisely in the importance of light, which, while it transforms shape and matter on his works, it modifies even the city, in a constant game of reflections fed by the waters of the lagoon.

MY FRAGILITY, MY STRENGTH

04/09/2021 - 20/10/2021

In occasion of The Venice Glass Week 2021 and of the opening the new exhibition space of the Gallery in Calle de la Madonna, San Polo 1976, Venezia, two artists in dialogue on the provocateur theme of seduction, considered in its complementary aspects of both force and fragility, of which glass is a perfect metaphor. Nataliya Chernakova develops her own inquiry on art forms as instruments for crowd’s manipulation, evolution of perception and the limit between kitsch and fine arts. Her exploration is essentially about the stereotypes of attraction. Marta Sforni deepens a lifelong research rooted in the great period of Flemish still life, dedicated to transparency in painting and constantly sensitive to beauty that survives time. The title of the exhibition is a tribute to the famous Pina Bausch quote: "Your fragility is also your strength".

SPRING BOX #01

23/10/2021 - 23/12/2021

SPRING BOX #01 is the pilot episode, curated by Margherita Morgantin, which inaugurates a new exhibition line of the gallery, specifically dedicated to emerging artists. Izabela Bardhoshi and Tatiana Stropkaiová graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of L’Aquila. Within the exhibition path, their research is united by the almost total absence of images: both artists work on sound, air, the substances of nature, writing and voice. They are part of the WRG collective, which was formed in the context of the Academy of Fine Arts of L'Aquila and is consolidating and evolving elsewhere. Within the exhibition, Margherita Morgantin's contribution is not limited to curating. While Ca’ Pesaro dedicates her the solo exhibition DAMA LIBRE (25 September - 7 November, 2021), on the occasion of the acquisition of VIP = Violation of the Pauli exclusion principle SOTTO LA MONTAGNA, SOPRA LA MONTAGNA, the artist presents COSMIC SILENCE 3, Fluorescence 2 in the new Beatrice Burati Anderson’s gallery, two steps away from Campo San Polo. The work is part of COSMIC SILENCE (Fluorescence) installative and performative project, which took place at the Serralves Museu de Arte Contemporanea in Porto in the context of O Museu como Performance. In turn, COSMIC SILENCE sinks its roots within VIP, the research project produced by Xing and realized thanks to the support of the Italian Council 2020, in which Morgantin explores the relationship between subnuclear and astroparticle physics, artistic imagination and personal sensitivity.

Do you know what I mean?

10/04/2022 - 01/05/2022

Which words does the artist use to explain what he wants? What is the very personal contribution of the artisan to the realization of the works? In the exhibition path the glass artworks are conceived as points of departure to go backwards to the creation process. The five artists are Venetians or Venice based and all of them have a deep relationship with the glass masters they have been working with in Murano for many years, as maestri Andrea Zilio, Giorgio Giuman and Berengo Studio.

SI VIS PACEM / If you want peace

20/04/2022 - 24/09/2022

On April 20th, 2022, on the occasion of the pre-opening week of the 59th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, Beatrice Burati Anderson Art Space & Gallery responds to the drama of the present times by inaugurating a bi-personal exhibition curated by Adriana Polveroni, that compares in an unprecedented way the works of Ciriaco Campus (Bitti, Nuoro, 1951) and Italo Zuffi (Imola, 1969). Borrowing the title from the famous Latin phrase "Si vis pacem para bellum" ("If you want peace, prepare for war"), SI VIS PACEM asks, in the deliberate suspension of the sentence, an implicit question, which will remain open, to constantly solicit conscience: if you want peace - assuming you really want peace - what needs to be done?
