- ARTISSIMA 2021

Beatrice Burati Anderson Art Space & Gallery is pleased to announce the participation to the art fair ARTISSIMA 2021 and to invite you at the Booth #7 | Fuchsia | New Entries section.   Artissima is Italy’s most important contemporary art fair. Since its establishment in 1994, it has combined the presence of an international market with a focus on experimentation and research. Galleries from around the world participate every year. The fair has different sections: Main Section, Dialogue/Monologue, New Entries, Art Spaces & Editions. Beatrice Burati Anderson Art Space & Gallery is going to take part to the New Entries section, that presents the most interesting emerging galleries from the international art scene, that have been open less than 5 years and taking part in Artissima for the first time.

At Artissima 2021 Beatrice Burati Anderson Art Space & Gallery is going to present a solo show by Margherita Morgantin, with various emanations of VIP =
Violation of the Pauli exclusion principle, UNDER THE MOUNTAIN, ABOVE THE MOUNTAIN, winning project of the VIII edition of the Italian Council (2020), produced by Xing and recently acquired by Ca’ Pesaro – International Gallery of Modern Art, where DAMA LIBRE, a solo exhibition by Margherita Morgantin, is currently on going.

VIP is a research path that starts from the observation of some images of subnuclear and astroparticle physics
in relation to artistic imagination, practiced through personal sensitivity as a form of scientific data. The title
borrows the name of one of the particle physics experiments that has been running for years in the Gran Sasso underground laboratories of the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare under the Gran Sasso massif. VIP is the acronym that names the experimental search for ‘impossible atoms’, whose appearance would represent a violation of Pauli exclusion principle, still considered one of the cornerstones of our scientific understanding of the universe and matter. In VIP, the artist’s body and experience become part of the scientific tools used for field research. VIP is articulated between 2020 and 2021 through different degrees of involvement of various interlocutors and audiences in the processing and presentation of its results.
