Emotional Architectures

Emotional Architectures

The Video “Emotional Architectures” 2013, is born from the evidence of a cultural sideslip in the interpretation of love relationships. Until the 90ties to neglect sex was meaning to have a sexual interest for someone else, while nowadays this is not necessarily the case. Jobs have become too pervasive, lack of time and social competition create stress to the point of relegating human relationships to the background and penalizing especially the intimate relationship between couples. The artist asked to 8 performers to choose a partner to interpret the script she had written imagining the climax during a kind of “standard” couple conversation. She asked them to create the premise for such conversation, and to decide how to go with it.

The table with two chairs “Love in translation” 2017, is the invite to seat and write those words which emerge form the soul and escape the daily language in the negotiation of a couple relationship, because essentially intimate and not translatable.

The Exhibition opens in coincidence with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, posing a question about the nature of loving relationship. Three artists in dialogue, with the languages of video, photography, drawing, collage and installations, explore this open and eternal inquiry, which reopens to infinity like a play of mirrors. The hectic movement of emotion finds a moment of peace, breathing in wider horizons to embrace the inner silence.
