Andrea Chiesi (born 1966 in Modena) lives and works in San Pancrazio di Modena, Italy. Self-taught, he trained in the early 1980’s in the punk and post-punk music scene as an illustrator and cartoonist. He is an “anthropological observer of the landscape” who seeks in the moment in which he creates a work to be in symbiosis with the space that he goes to paint, often abandoned industrial spaces. Oil paintings that allow him to go beyond the reality represented by reestablishing those places in an intimate world outside of time.
