- Alessandro Moreschini
Alessandro Moreschini (born 1966 in Castel S. Pietro Terme) lives and works in Bologna, Italy. He graduated at D.A.M.S. (History of Art) at Università degli Studi di Bologna, Italy. Moreschini uses several supports creating artworks the surface of which becomes a really coloured and decorative texture with the aim to show the cultural limits of the Western esthetical canon. His meticulous and surprising pictorial technique, characterizes him for the preciousness of refined chromatic textures. At the base of his artistic practice there is the consideration that the contemporary society is characterized more and more by a general “aesthetization” of everyday life to the disadvantage of the previous concern of “ethicsazation” of social life. In other words as stated by the French sociologist Yves Michaud the interest for beauty in all its forms (aesthetic) would permeate all the areas of our lives dozing off our social responsibility and civic engagement (ethics).
